Honesty Is Why Our Clients Trust Us
When completing a transaction this week, my team and I received a note from a borrower we have worked with many times. He started by thanking us for our usual quick turnarounds, an easy approval and documentation process, and very competitive rates and fees. The best part was his reflection on our past work together though… “In case you don't remember, during our first interaction a number of years ago, you presented me with clear alternatives so I could make the right choices. Your thoughtful and caring advice then lead to the continuing relationship we have this very day!”
As Always, You Rock!
Having a combined experience of over 30 years, our team in Columbus, Ohio has experienced many highs and lows in the industry. Rates fluctuate, markets ebb and flow, and life continues to keep us on our toes. During a quite hectic time recently, one of our Real Estate partners sent us a quick note: “I just wanted to say thanks for getting our refi turned around so quickly. As always, you guys rock!” In the middle of everything, we were reminded of the value of the relationships we’ve built with our business partners. We love our partners and job that we get to do!
Closed Just in Time
As the scheduled closing day was rapidly approaching, we were beginning to get nervous about missing the cut off time. We knew that our client’s loan positively had to fund on July 10th, 2020 - without exception. Not closing on this date would mean that our client would lose an extreme amount of money, $20,000 to be exact. We scrambled to come up with a solution and when it seemed there wasn’t an option, one of our co-workers offered to give-up his place in line so our client’s loan could be closed first. Because of his client-focused mindset, our buyer closed on time, got his dream home, and didn’t lose $20,000! When the challenge arose, LendUS came through.
Big Bank or Mortgage Lender?
Helping Brittany was a huge victory! After picking up the call from her and finding out what her goals were, we were amazed to learn that she had not previously purchased a home. Brittany also conveyed that she was not sure if it would be best to go with a big bank or a mortgage lender, so she had done her research before calling. She had a good handle on her finances, but needed help navigating the mortgage process to buy a new home. Our team listened and provided caring guidance, explaining all her options, so she could make the best decision for her financial future. Working together to make her dream of homeownership come true, Brittany purchased a new home and said “goodbye forever” to paying rent.
Handling Almost Everything Electronically!
Juggling work and life is not always an easy feat! The Heath Branch is always looking to do what we can to help navigate the difficult times. Because of these efforts, our client said the following: “Wanted to take a minute and thank you and your team for the excellent work handling my Refinance, it couldn’t have gone smoother. I also appreciate being able to handle almost everything electronically, it worked out perfectly with my work schedule. Thank you again!”
“This is the First Time a Home Has Been Within my Reach!”
My team and I heard an amazing story this week from a new client and first-time homeowner. Several years back, she was a young mother who had a daughter and a steady income. Unfortunately, she was hit by a truck when crossing the street and fell on hard times due to pain and the loss of her job. It left her oldest daughter living with her father and this mother with a new infant and living in shelters for a period of time. Over time, she pulled herself back up by finding a new job, was graciously allowed a place to stay, and is now ready to purchase her first home. Her two daughters told the seller that they looked forward to planting flowers and have dreams of running down a hallway. Our buyer said, "This is the first time a home has been within my reach!" I'd like to thank my extended team: Monalynn Kerol, Daina Sciutti and Cyndi Clark with loan set-up, along with Aaron Pitterman and Andrew Dannis for helping with the AC Boost approval, our UW Joan Larson, and The Lock Desk.
